Your CAD file stays on your device; only analysis results reach us. Waitlist data is kept for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Mesh2Metal collects three main categories of information. **In-browser CAD analysis results.** When you check a supported CAD file in your browser, we may receive the file name, file size, file hash, and geometry statistics. We never receive or store the CAD file itself. The browser performs the analysis, so the underlying design stays on your device. **What you type.** A request can include a part description, chosen alloys, quantity, relevant dates, tolerances, finish, certificate needs, industry, export-control answer, target price, and contact details. We collect the fields and message text you choose to provide through the site or /contact. **Technical data.** We may receive approximate location, meaning city, region, or country, derived from request headers; browser and device information; the referring page; campaign parameters; and pseudonymous analytics identifiers. IP addresses are not stored in raw form. Please don’t send us export-controlled (ITAR/EAR) technical data until we have set up a compliant path with you — contact us first. ## Why does Mesh2Metal use this information? Mesh2Metal uses these categories to: - return browser-based CAD analysis and explain a manufacturability result; - respond to waitlist requests, questions, and contact messages; - send requested service information and email notifications; - understand which pages, campaigns, and product flows are useful; - keep the site available, troubleshoot faults, prevent abuse, and meet legal duties. For US privacy purposes, there is no single legal-basis list that applies to every situation. When a law asks us to state a basis, Mesh2Metal relies on your request or consent for information you choose to submit, business purposes needed to operate and improve the service, and legal obligations. We request consent for optional analytics or communications where required, and you can use available controls or /contact to withdraw it. ## Which processors support the service? Mesh2Metal uses selected processors to provide the site and its supporting functions: - Vercel for hosting; - Amazon Web Services in the United States for storage and email notifications; - PostHog for product analytics and session replay. Inputs are masked, and IP addresses are discarded; - Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection. These providers receive information needed for their assigned function and act on our instructions. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. ## How long does Mesh2Metal retain information? Mesh2Metal keeps waitlist data for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it earlier. Waitlist data includes the contact details and request information you choose to provide. We may retain a limited record of a deletion request, consent choice, security event, or legal matter for as long as needed to document compliance or resolve a dispute. The CAD file itself is not retained by Mesh2Metal because it never leaves your device. Analysis results and technical data are kept only as needed for the purposes described above and under the retention settings of the relevant service providers. ## What privacy rights do California residents have? California residents may ask Mesh2Metal to: - tell them what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or retain; - delete personal information, subject to exceptions allowed by law; - correct inaccurate personal information; and - opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Mesh2Metal does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We still honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out preference. To exercise a right, use /contact and identify the request you want to make. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request relates to you, and we will not discriminate against you for using a privacy right. ## How does Mesh2Metal protect information? Mesh2Metal uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and the service. No online service can promise absolute security. If you believe information was sent to us by mistake or you have a security concern, use /contact promptly. ## Does Mesh2Metal collect information from children? Mesh2Metal is intended for adults and professional users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
